Meet Doris — Your Barber Since '96
Doris Stephens opened this shop in 1996. One chair, a set of clippers, and a sign on Route 12. That was it. No grand plan. Just a barber who wanted to do good work in her own town.
Thirty years later, the shop is still here. Same spot, same standard. Doris built it on simple things: fair prices, honest work, and treating people right. Customers bring their kids in now. Some of those kids are bringing their own kids.
A few years back, Jenna joined the team. She brought fresh energy and a knack for working with children that customers love. Together, they keep the chairs full and the cuts clean.
This is a neighborhood shop. You walk in, you sit down, you tell us what you want. No appointments. No attitude. Just a good haircut from someone who cares about getting it right.
How We Got Here
Doors Open
Doris Stephens signs a lease on Route 12 in Greene, NY. One chair, her tools, and a simple idea: give people good haircuts at fair prices.
Word Gets Around
Regulars start bringing their families in. The shop becomes a fixture on Route 12. Doris builds a reputation for consistency and friendliness.
Jenna Joins the Team
Jenna comes on board and clicks with the regulars right away. Great with kids, fast with clippers, and genuinely kind. Customers love her.
30 Years & Counting
Three decades, thousands of cuts, and a waiting area full of people who started as strangers and became family. Same owner. Same standard. Still walk-ins only.
